Connecting a CAT to a Kenwood TKR-850

Connecting a CAT controller to a Kenwood TKR-850 Repeater can be accomplished easily by following these two steps.


Step 1
Build an interconnect cable with two Male DB25 connectors on both ends of a 5-wire conductor cable. Connect the pins as follows: (Note: a pre-built cable is available for purchase under CAT part number CA-850).

Step 2
Program the TKR-850 repeater using the configuration software supplied with the repeater.
