Connecting a CAT to a Vertex-7000 Repeater

Connecting a CAT controller to a Vertex-7000 Repeater can be accomplished easily by following these two steps.


Step 1
Build an interconnect cable with a DB25 male connector on both ends of a 5-wire conductor cable. Connect the connector pins as follows: (Note: a pre-built cable is available for purchase under CAT part number CA-7000).

Step 2
Program the VXR-7000 repeater using the configuration software supplied with the repeater.

Notes:
1. Set all VXR-7000 control switches to default position.
2. VXR-7000 Repeater/Base switch to Base position (Green lamp off).
3. VXR-7000 Remote/Local switch to Remote position (Green lamp on).
