| Connecting a CAT controller to an ICOM RP-1520 | ||

The Icom RP-1520 repeater has a 8 pin DIN female accessory connector on the rear panel. The SQLS output is an open collector transistor and will require a 2200 ohn pull-up resistor. The receive audio output from the RP-1520 is very low. It may be necessary to turn the REC level control on your CAT controller to the full cw position.
NOTE: The LOCAL INHIBIT switch on the front panel of the repeater must be engaged at all times. If not, after a power failure, the RP-1520 will return to its internal controller.
