Ed-300w Editor Vocabulary

I am trying to program the following message in my 300DX controller at "any"
message location: MEETING TONIGHT AT FIRE DEPARTMENT AT 7:30 PM.
When I click on the word FIRE it is placed in the EDITOR DIALOG BOX but when I finish and click OK and the message box comes up, FIRE has been replaced with only the letter F. I have tried several message locations and same results.
I am using EDITOR VER. 2.10 with 2.11 update. I have reloaded several times
from CD with same results. Even without update it has same results.
Do I have a defective CD or is this a BUG?
I have tried every other word in the vocabulary and they all work. Just FIRE does not. Could someone check their's and let me know?

Hi Charles,

Yes I tried my CAT-300 editor here and it's doing the same thing. I'll get the word "Fire" to transfer into the message listing like the other words. Give me a couple of days and I will post an update in the Configuration Editor Update section (Version 2.13).

Al,
I downloaded the editor update you put on your site but it loads as version 2.12 instead of 2.13. It looks just like the old version. Am I doing something wrong?
When I start the install program it says ED300W Update 2.12.

I just tried it again and it is showing version 2.13 here. Try again using the "run" mode and if that doesn't work, give the "save" mode a try.

Anybody else download the update who can post their results?

Al,
I installed the editor on another computer that has never had the program on it before and downloaded the update. It now shows ver. 2.13. Even though I removed everything from my other computer there must be something in the registry
that is still looking at ver. 2.12.
It works on my laptop and that is fine. Thanks for the help.
