Dip Switches #4, #5 and #6 are set for either repeater or transceiver. Without following the logic, I assume this has something to do with the routing of the COS/PTT leads or, perhaps, the audio gates. Since on link returns the xmit audio to the receive lead on the same port, estalishing two simultaneous sets up a feedback path. What exactly do these switches do?
I also see a possibility of using Switch #7 to accomplish my goal, but I'd still like to know what the other switches do.

Dip switch # 4 configures port # 1 for a repeater, dip switch # 5 configures port # 2 for a repeater, dip switch # 6 configures port # 3 for a repeater. When the dip switch is turned on, the ptt & audio out on that port follows the cor input on that port. The port acts like a repeater controller with no hang time. When dip switch # 7 is turned on port # 1 has priority over ports # 2 & 3. When port # 1 cor is active the audio in from ports 2 & 3 will be muted on the output back to the repeater controller.

Cool RLS-1000 port 1 to RLS-1000 Port 1 (switch settins)

Harlie, based on what you have said, DIP 4 would be enable (ON) when
going from one RLS to another with the TX / RX swapped with Cor & PTT
    respectively???

What else would need to be done to establish a HARD LINK between the
two RLS's that have CAT 250's on them???

I have gathered you can turn on and off user out 1 for the control of
    RLS PORT 1 on/off.....

    Thanks
    Evans

Smile RLS-1000 port 1 to RLS-1000 Port 1 (switch settins)

    Hello Evans,

Do you have 2-CAT-250'S & an RLS-1000B on each CAT-250? I assume all at same location?
