    Default Long squelch tail

We have a 300DX attached to a GE MstrII. For some unknown reason the squelch tail is extrememly long when keying up (30 secs). Have tried to adjust to 1 sec to no avail. However, it is possible to talk over the squelch so other than the repeater appearing to be in use, everything looks fine.
    Thanks in advance

    Default Squelch Tail

Does the Mastr II have a squelch board in it? If it does, take it out. If it is a mobile clean the squelch pot or replace it. All my machines are Mastr II's except one MSF-5000 which I don't like.

Got the squelch problem fixed. After getting new editor software, I went through all the settings especially COR Drop to Courtesy Beep Timer (*604*) and Courtesy Beep to PTT Drop Timer (*605*) and that did it. Everyone is happy now!
