    Default CAT-200 and IRLP Simplex

I am attempting to use a CAT-200B to control my IRLP simplex node.
I have used the following diagram from CAT notes:
    http://www.catauto.com/notes/note14.html
but since this diagram is for running a repeater with an IRLP node radio linked to it, it differs from my intended use. Does anyone know what the correct connections (i.e. PTT, COS, etc) on the CAT-200B for controlling ONLY a transceiver simplex (not a repeater with a link radio as in the above link)
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Jordan,

The CAT-200B is designed to be used with a repeater, seperate transmitter & receiver. When a cor is received on port # 1, the CAT-200B makes a ptt on port # 1. You can connect the IRLP board directly to your simplex transceiver. If you want to use the CAT-200B, it needs to be full duplex on port # 1.

    Harlie,

Thank you for responding to my question.
Picture the IRLP computer as the repeater receiver. That's all I am really trying to do here. I need the controller to ID the radio and the only thing that needs to trip the PTT and key the radio is output from the computer. so essentially the IRLP computer is taking over the job of the repeater receiver.
This is a simplex node and I am not re-transmitting anything local. I just need the controller to key up the radio when there is output from the computer and to send my ID over the radio. Sounds simple anyway

The reason I bought the controller is because the scripts that have been written to ID simplex nodes like mine depend on the remote station's PTT and if they should stop transmitting while my station ID is being sent, it gets cut off and I end up with partial ID's which aren't legal. That's the whole reason for buying the controller.

    Thanks for your help
