CL-100 Internet Linking Controller

This CL-100 was specially developed to provide Internet connectivity to existing repeater controllers or remote link transceivers without the need of a supporting computer. The CL-100 connects directly to a DSL or CABLE modem. It can also be connected to a port on your router and share your existing high-speed internet connection.

TI Voice Synthesizer ID
In addition to identifying the transmitter the voice synthesizer announces Internet connect and disconnect messages and the status of the five remote control switches.

DTMF Key-Pad Test
A DTMF keypad test will read back the numbers decoded in a synthesized voice.

End of Transmission Tone
The CL-100 provides an optional tone to let the RF user know each time the Internet user has stopped transmitting.

Timers
Three timers control the CL-100 operation. Each timer is user programmable to afford maximum flexibility. They are: Transmitter COR Timer, PTT Timer and Inactivity Timer.

CL-100 Programming
Use your Internet browser to program the CL-100. Connect your computer's Ethernet port to the RJ45 connector on the CL-100. Address the CL-100's internal web page. Setup is similar to setting up your router. Enter your list of IP addresses, DTMF connect codes and voice messages. Define your control codes, set the timers and choose your preferred options.

Input Logic Control
A logic input is provided so the repeater's controller can control the CL-100. When this input is pulsed to ground the CL-100 will connect to the IP address stored in table location one.

Output Logic Control
Two output switches provide status information for the repeater's controller. Output #1 pulses low for 500mSEC to indicate an Internet connection has been established. Output #2 pulses low to indicate an Internet disconnect has take place.

Remote Control Switches
Five user controlled FET relay driver switches permit control of equipment located with the CL-100. Control is accomplished by making changes to the CL-100's internal web page or by DTMF command through the RF port.

RS-232 Port Operation
The CL-100's RS-232 Port serves a dual function. Initially it is used to assign the control codes, enter the call letter identification, set the COR, PTT and Link Inactivity timers and load the eight IP table positions with connect codes, IP addresses and call letter identifications. With the set-up complete, the RS-232 Port will continuously output the CL-100 operational status including: connect disconnect hand shacking activity and any timeout messages.

Transceiver Interconnect
In this configuration the CL-100 is connected between a transceiver and a DSL or cable modem. The CL-100 can share an Internet connection when connected to a router.

Display Indicators
Six LED indicators display the CL-100 activity. POWER, COR, DTMF STROBE, PTT, CONNECT and ACTIVITY will flash when data is being sent or received.

Repeater Control Interconnect
In this configuration the CL-100 is connected between the link port of a repeater controller and a DSL or CABLE modem. Communications between the CL-100 and the repeater controller is accomplished through two logic outputs and one logic input. Output #1 momentarily switches to ground when the Internet connects. Output #2 momentarily switches to ground when the Internet disconnects. These outputs can be used to execute macro within the repeater's controller. When the Logic input is momentarily grounded by the repeater controller's switch the CL-100 will automatically connect to the IP address located in the number one table position. This permits the repeater controller to automatically connect for a scheduled net.

CL-100 Internal Web Page
Program your IP, Mask and Router addresses. Select your Control, Switch, Keypad Test and Disconnect Codes. Program your call letter identification and set the COR, PTT and Inactivity timers.

Setup the IP address table with connect codes and call letter identifications. Enable the keypad test, end of transmit tone features.
